The CZU mobiLAB project team is excited to announce the shipment of four ready-to-use mobile laboratory units to Ethiopia and Zambia
After months of hard work and meticulous preparations, the very first units of CZU mobiLAB were packed and set on a journey to their destinations today.
One unit is on its way to Shebelle zone in Ethiopia and three units are traveling to Chirundu, Kalabo, and Kaoma in Zambia, where they will be received by our project partners from humanitarian organization ADRA.
The laboratories are easily transportable, as they are packed on a couple of shipping pallets and each unit contains an inflatable tent, decontamination shower, and complete equipment for testing of a range of disease-causing agents under sterile and safe conditions (including SARS-COV-2, HIV, yellow fever virus, etc.).
We hope the laboratories arrive smoothly and are looking forward to putting them to work in the field very soon!
